Programming has its own running jokes, the kind that only land with someone who has actually shipped something, and this collection sorts five well known languages the way developers already talk about each other's code: by personality, not popularity. The Elegant Camp Argues Code Should Read Like a Sentence
Guido van Rossum named Python after Monty Python's Flying Circus in 1991, not the snake everyone assumes, though the artwork here leans into the reptile anyway, since a coiled shape suits a round face better than a comedy troupe would.
